It is now pageant season and I am feeling super inspired by it! I took a break from my blog to focus on myself and my schoolwork as sophomore year was coming to an end. This year has been a year of transformation and growth and I wanted to share some of my new projects with you. I finally feel like myself again and I am flourishing. New friendships, a new relationship, and a new attitude! One thing that I accomplished this past year was that I choreographed my own solo this dance season about my battles with depression and anxiety. It was an amazing way for me to explore my passion and tell my story my way. Along with this I joined a lot of clubs at my school such as student council, prom committee, and my favorite, H.O.P.E. H.O.P.E. is a student run group that makes activities and curriculums to teach students at my high school about anti-hate and tolerance after multiple incidents occurred. We took it upon ourselves to form a new way to teach students about equality and inclusion. Our goal is to make my high school as inclusive as possible and make people feel as safe as they can. I also became a member of the National Honor Society and I have been working on building a community garden for Leicester for my independent service project. All proceeds of my garden will go to the food pantry and an organization that donates produce for better math and language education for children. I am super excited about all the activities I have going on around me and they are helping me give back to my community. I couldn't ask for a better way to help out my town and my school. Thank you for listening to my update and I plan on posting every two weeks from now on as long as my schedule allows me too! If you need any help or advice feel free to leave a comment or email me!
